F.A.Q.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, checks and credit cards. We also offer flexible financing which can be repaid over a period from 6 months to 5 years. Finally we offer our own in-house reduced-fee plan for patients who do not have dental insurance.

Which insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major dental PPO plans. If you have a PPO plan that we are not contracted with, we will still courtesy bill your insurance so that you can be reimbursed by them directly.

What if I don’t have dental insurance?

Besides having our own in-house reduced-fee dental plan which will significantly reduce the price of treatment, we also offer flexible financing plans to make the treatment you need or want more affordable.

Do you have emergency services?

Yes we do. We leave part of our schedule open each day specifically so we can see emergency patients. Furthermore, we have an answering service that can have the doctors paged any time day or night, 7 days a week.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes we do. Though this will not be a comprehensive exam with x-rays, we do offer free consultations for cosmetic treatment.

What information should I bring for my appointment?

If you have dental insurance you will want to bring your insurance card to the appointment so that we may verify your particular benefits. Otherwise, we ask that you bring with you the filled out forms we mail to you prior to your appointment. If for any reason you did not receive the forms by mail, please come in a little early for your appointment so you have time to fill out the forms in our office.

Do you see children?

Yes, we see children five years and older.

What methods do you have to treat nervous patients?

We understand that almost every patient has at least some dental anxiety, so we have geared our practice to make the experience for each patient as comfortable and anxiety-free as possible. We start with our initial appointment where we get to know the patient and determine what will be appropriate to make treatment visits most comfortable for them. Available to us is Nitrous Oxide gas (laughing gas) which is great for mild to moderate anxiety, and can be administered with no lingering effects since it dissolves out of the body almost immediately after use. Because of its relaxing effects and almost instant recovery, Nitrous Oxide is a favorite of many patients. Oral Sedation on the other hand involves the use of a combination of anti-anxiety medications taken in combination to alley anxiety and place a patient into a very groggy or light sleep state. This method is commonly used for patients with moderate to severe anxiety who need additional anxiety relief and who want to have no memory of the appointment. Using Oral Sedation requires that you be driven to and from the office by a companion.

What special qualifications do Dr. David Hakimi & Dr. Armon Eben have?

Both Dr. David Hakimi & Dr. Armon Eben are members of the CDA, ADA, AGD, and the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Furthermore, both doctors have taken hundreds of hours of continuing education courses to stay on the cutting edge of all dental services including cosmetic dentistry, general dentistry, implant dentistry, oral sedation, Invisalign and many other areas of patient care.

What is your whitening method of choice?

In office whitening is the quickest way to get results, while home whitening with custom made trays allows the patient to maintain their new bright smile. Therefore when you decide to whiten at our office we combine these two methods to achieve not only the best results, but results that also last. We start with a 90-minute in-office whitening, using the Zoom! acceleration light which is the most advanced method available today, allowing you to leave our office with immediate results. When completed, we take impressions of your teeth to make you a set of custom trays and provide you with home use whitening gel to start your home maintenance.

What treatment do you recommend for patients with gapped, rotated, chipped or crooked teeth?

Though this is a question that can only be answered fully by examining the patient and understanding their specific desires, there are many options which are available to trained dentists to achieve beautiful smiles. Some of the methods that we employee to treat such cases include veneers, Lumineers, Invisalign, bonding and tooth contouring. All of the above are options that may be explored and used alone or in combination with each other.

What is the difference between Lumineers and Veneers?

Lumineers are in fact a type of veneers. The main benefit to Lumineers is that they are so strong that they can be made extremely thin (.3mm). The ability to make them so thin reduces the amount of tooth structure that needs to be removed when compared to traditional veneers. Often times in fact, no anesthetic or even tooth reduction is necessary at all. Though not everyone is best served by choosing Lumineers over traditional veneers, it has allowed us to create beautiful smiles for more people.

What is Invisalign and who is a candidate?

Invisalign is a form of orthodontics whereby clear removable aligners are used to produce movement rather than the traditional metal wire and bracket braces used in the past. When worn, Invisalign is almost completely invisible and will discretely rotate and straighten your teeth. Other benefits include the fact that being removable, a patient can take Invisalign out when eating, brushing and flossing, making the entire experience easier and more comfortable. Though patients may be candidates for Invisalign starting at the age of 13, the majority of people who chose this treatment are adults who would not otherwise want traditional braces due to the obvious cosmetic objections.
